In reference to the reviewer who criticized this book for wrong notes, as much as I want to disagree unfortunately it looks like he's right. I started practicing K283 (allegro) from the music I found online and then after I purchased this book there are already several inconsistencies that I have seen. Also the fingering is somewhat awkward but that's more subjective.I have purchased several other Schirmers books which have been great. The quality of the book is very good with clear text and it's actually a pretty substantial book, but it seems unusual that there would be wrong notes. Not sure I can fully recommend--Update: I found another note error in Alla Turca. I'm not a great pianist but this is annoying. Such a shame since this is a nice physical quality book and affordable. I may look around, I like to have confidence in the music I am working hard on.
Piano sonata no. 17 K 570 is missing, yet two unfinished sonatas are represented in this volume. Also, some unusual interpretations through several passages in this book that I have never heard performed in any recordings of these works.
I am not a concert pianist. I do not teach piano. But I play well enough to be able to work my way through some of the sonatas at this level, strictly for my own enjoyment. Maybe these Schirmer editions don't meet the strict editorial criteria of professionals in the field, but they work just fine for me, and they are affordable.
I just got the book today. The pages look faded and washed out. Some pages are lighter than others. Even in the same page the ink darkness is not even. It has 6 to 7 pairs of lines per page. The cover is printed on mate yellow stock paper. It does not have the smooth plastic feel on the cover, like other yellow Schirmer books that I bought.
Beautiful edition of Mozart. Challenging and inspiring to attack Mozart again in my retired years. Inspiring and highly motivating to have this to work through as a goal.

Some wrong notes (left hand beginning of recapitulation) and wrong octaves (left hand beginning of development) . And I just discovered 1st mov. of A minor sonata. further I don`t even want to look.
My child like this book.
